Transportation
Bus transportation is provided by the Board of Education for students who live more than 1.5 miles from school. First Student provides this service for District 99. Communication regarding bus service should be directed to First Student at 630-964-2500 or to the DGS Associate Principal for Operations and Technology, Omar Davis, at 630-795-8500 or odavis@csd99.org. Specific bus routes operate in the morning and in the afternoon.
Locate your bus stop: To find the correct bus stop, look for the route with stops nearest to your home. Find the nearest intersection listed. Report to the bus stop at least 5 minutes before pick up time listed. If a bus is full, the driver will radio the bus company for another bus to pick you up.
Every student and their primary guardians will receive a personalized email with their specific route information and First View security codes before school starts.
While traveling to or from school, you are considered in school. Appropriate conduct is required. Misconduct will be handled according to the discipline code as outlined in the student handbook and will be dealt with by your dean. Students are expected to be respectful to the bus drivers and to other riders. Vandalism of bus seats and other First Student property will result in financial obligations owed by you and disciplinary action. Students are expected to display ID cards when boarding buses. Failure to follow these rules can result in suspension of bus privileges, suspension from school, and/or both.
