Several students enrolled in World Language courses at Downers Grove South High School were recently inducted into the World Language National Honors Society. On March 4th, a ceremony was held to honor these students and highlight their achievements.
In order to be inducted into the societies, students must meet a series of qualifications.
- French (AATF- American Association of Teachers of French): students who have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and have at least four out of five semesters of A or the equivalent in French classes.
- German (AATG—American Association of Teachers of German): Students must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and maintain a 3.6 average in German over five or more semesters.
- Spanish (AATSP- American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese): students who have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, students who have three A’s out of five semesters in Spanish class, and have not received a C or lower in Spanish.
