DGS to hold annual Winter Fine Arts Festival
A winter tradition at South High School returns for another season. The Fine Arts Department will hold its annual winter festival on Thursday, December 8, with musical performances and works of art from DGS students. Artwork will be displayed in the STEAM wing and accompanied by group music performances.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to celebrate the deeper connections we share through art, music, and self-expression,” said Jerry Lowrey, Director of Fine Arts at South High School.
Following the opening act, audience members will be treated to an immersive concert experience in the Performing Arts Center featuring band, choir, orchestra, visual art, and digital music students.
Festival doors open at 5:30 PM, with concert doors opening at 6:30 PM. The concert will take place from 7-8:20 PM.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a canned good to be donated to the West Suburban Community Pantry.
