On July 1, Ms. Arwen Lyp begins her role as principal at South High School in Downers Grove. Woodridge Mayor Cunningham made a proclamation from the Village of Woodridge declaring July 1 as “Arwen Lyp Day”.
The proclamation reads in part: “It is our honor to recognize long time Woodridge resident Mrs. Arwen Lyp who has been selected as the first female principal of Downers Grove South High School starting her new role on July 1, 2022.”
