Downers Grove South High School senior Anthony Rosalia earned a Gold Medal at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Competition.
Rosalia competed virtually in the regional competition in the Relish Tray category and earned second place, which qualified him for the virtual state competition.
Since his sophomore year, Rosalia has been a part of South High’s FCCLA organization. Each year, he has competed at the regional and state competitions in the same category.
“We are so proud of Anthony for earning his highest scores and the gold medal,” South High Career and Technical Education Teacher and FCCLA adviser Liana Ploski said. “He has worked very hard these past three years to refine his skills.”
FCCLA is a national student organization that helps young men and women become better leaders in their families, careers and communities. To learn more about DGS FCCLA, contact Liana Ploski at lploski@csd99.org or Cindy Farren at cfarren@csd99.org.
