Downers Grove South High students competed and placed in several categories at the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Journalism Competition.
For the third straight year, South High’s Blueprint Newspaper won the sectional competition and qualified for the state finals. The Blueprint placed 9th overall as a team at the IHSA State Competition.
Congratulations to the following students earning individual state medals:
- Jacqueline Barba: 2nd place in Feature Writing

- Alexis Pragides: 3rd place in Advertising Design
- Teagan Smith: 6th place in Newspaper Design
