Eight South High Students Sign National Letters of Intent for College Athletics

Eight students at South High School in Downers Grove signed national letters of intent in college athletics at a ceremony at the school on November 12, 2015. The DGS seniors have signed for the 2016-17 school year with the following universities:

Kristen Bialek (Murray State University) -- Softball

Nicole Bowman (Rutgers University) -- Softball

Michaela Hackbarth (University of Missouri) – Cross Country

Caroline Hedgcock (University of Arkansas) -- Softball

Megan LoBianco (St. Louis University) -- Softball

Danny Oriente (University of Louisville) -- Baseball

Christian San Andres (University of Illinois at Chicago) -- Tennis

Rachel Schneider (Oakland University) -- Volleyball

“Good things happen to good people who work hard,” says South High School Athletic Director Randall Konstans. “We are proud of their achievements and successes both in athletics and academics while at South High, and wish them the best in the future.”
