DGS Students Collect Food for Pantry

Freshmen in DGS Global Connections collected 30 boxes of food for those in need.

Freshmen in DGS Global Connections held a food drive. It was a tremendous success, and all classes contributed to the effort. The top contributors were Social Studies Teachers Derek Hoovel’s 6th period class, who came in first, followed by Jordan DeLay and Amanda Cerf’s 2nd period classes.

In total, students delivered more than 30 boxes of food to the West Suburban Community Pantry.

"The kids deserve special recognition for all of their hard work," says DeLay. "It really was a team effort and they were very proud of all the food they collected for the pantry."
