ACTIVITIES

There will be a PAWS meeting this Friday morning at 7:25 a.m. in Room C148!

Anime Club will meet TODAY after school in room A220 to plan for the Halloween Fun Fair.

Attention Adventure Club: if you plan on going this Thursday to our Haunted house outing please drop off your parent permission forms along with the cost of entrance.  Hope to see you there.

This Friday is DGS Snowball Day!  If you have ever attended a Snowball event, please wear your event t-shirt and your warm fuzzy necklace to school on Friday. Anyone wearing a Snowball shirt or necklace in the cafeteria during lunch periods on Friday will be entered into a raffle!  Help us promote this awesome event at DGS, and don’t forget to register for Fall Snowball by visiting the Student Activities home page.

October is Energy Awareness month.  The United States has about 5% of the world’s population.  Do you know what percentage of the world’s energy it uses?  23%.  As you go through your day, think about that other 95% of people on earth, be aware of your energy use, and look for ways to reduce it.

Politics Club next meeting is Wednesday, October 26.  We will meet in the choir room at 7:20 a.m. for our yearbook photo with our meeting to follow.

Do you like field trips? Are you interested in experiencing how government really works? For the first time ever DGS students have the opportunity to travel with North students to Washington DC. You will explore and experience our nation’s capital, discuss issues with students from all over the country, and meet members of Congress. For more information, see Dr. Esposito in the Social Studies office (D272). Initial sign-up forms are due on 10/21 so don’t delay.
