ACTIVITIES
REMINDER TO ALL LUNCH PERIOD RESOURCE AND STUDY HALLS: Remember to head to the auditorium Friday during every lunch period for the Elective Forums by Fine Arts and World Languages. Thanks in advance for being to the auditorium near the start of each lunch resource/study hall Friday of this week.
DECA, the business and marketing club, will have our next meeting Thursday at 7:30 am in room B327. This is for all members to attend to review Sectional materials. See you Thursday morning at 7:30 in B327.
Attention French Club Come join us after school today in the Foods Room B120 at 3:30. We will be making crepes from scratch and filling them with any combination of Nutella, strawberries, bananas and whipped cream. We will be done in time to take the 4:30 activity bus. Come join the fun - all are welcome!
Book Club will meet on January 31st at 3:30 in the library. We will discuss our fundraiser and select our next book for discussion. Hope to see you there.
The Attendance Office is looking for student aides for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 7th periods. If you are interested, please stop by the Attendance Office, Room A103 to pick up a request form.
Attention Seniors: If you applied via Common App your 7th semester transcript will be sent automatically. For Non-Common App colleges that require 7th semester transcripts please see Mrs. Lichaj in the College & Career Center Room A109.
COLLEGE AND CAREER
Woodridge VFW Jim Stewart Memorial Scholarship is open to seniors who plan to pursue a higher education and can demonstrate self-motivation, leadership and commitment to community service based on social behavior, community involvement, patriotism and extra-curricular activities. The applicant must be a descendant of a FVW-eligible veteran. The deadline to apply is April 15th. This scholarship and others are listed in Naviance, check your email for detailed information.
ATHLETICS
Attention to ALL those interested in Baseball this spring – there will be an OPEN GYM this week Thursday, January 26 from 8 to 9:45 PM in the Field House. This is for all levels.
All girls interested in trying out for Badminton should plan on attending a mandatory meeting RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL this Thursday, January 26th, in the math resource center room D374. Any student interested in being a badminton manager should also plan on attending. If you cannot attend, please see Coach Painter in the math office for information.
