ACTIVITIES
DECA, the business and marketing club, would like to congratulate Shanna Johnson on being elected as a State DECA officer. We are proud of your accomplishment, Shanna! We will have our next meeting on Thursday, October 6th at 7:35 in room B327. New members are always welcomed. See you Thursday morning at 7:35 in B327.
October is Energy Awareness month. Did you know that if a person yelled for 8 years, 7 months, and 6 days, he or she would produce enough energy to heat one cup of coffee? Makes you think about that second cup. Anyway, Earth Action Club is meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, after school in C260. Join us – we’ll be working on our Energy Awareness campaign. We need your energy, creativity, and artistic skills! See Ms. Quain with questions.
Interested in being a part of DGS Drama? Drama Club and Masque and Gavel will hold its second meeting of the year in the Little Theater TODAY at 3:30 pm. As a reminder, those planning to attend Illinois Theater Festival need to have their permission slips, medical forms and money by this meeting. Forms can be found on our website, dgsdrama.com.
Attention Spanish Club: Please join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, October 5th in D277 at 3:30. All are welcome. You do not need to be currently taking Spanish to join. We hope to see you then.
ATHLETICS
Attention: All GIRLS interested in bowling this year. There will be a mandatory meeting for the girls bowling
team on Thursday October 6 at 3:30 in room A204. If you absolutely cannot make the meeting, you must see Coach Topor in the World Languages Department.
COLLEGE AND CAREER
Attention Seniors: During your Senior Focus presentation you were informed that your transcript and/or supporting documents will be sent electronically as permitted by the college thru Naviance. Some college applications have a November 1st deadline, which is fast approaching. Make sure your supporting documents are in Naviance before October 7th if you need to meet the November 1st college deadline.
If you are interested in attending any of these presentation, you need to sign up on the Naviance Program.
