ACTIVITIES
Reminder: Students who need to ride the Activity Bus must show a valid school ID with the bus icon. You will be unable to purchase an ID at the 4:40 PM departure time. IDs will be scanned by DGS staff prior to boarding. Consult with your dean if you have any additional questions.
Did you miss having your yearbook photo taken or are not happy with your current photo? Lifetouch will be here before and after school and during your resource period on Wednesday, November 9th in the Little Theater. Please return your current photo package when retaking your photo.
Downers Grove South brings “Moon Over Buffalo” by Ken Ludwig to the stage Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th at 7 p.m. in the Main Auditorium. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children, seniors and non-DGS students. All DGS students will receive free admission with their current ID. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the Student Activities Office at 630-795-8518.
Do you have no use for your pumpkins, squashes, and gourds after Halloween? The AP Environmental Science students are once again hosting a pumpkin drive, this Saturday, November 5th from 9:00 to 11:30 in the DGS Stadium parking lot. Help make the world a greener place and donate your pumpkins! Don't let them go to waste, bring them to our compost pile!
ATHLETICS
All girls interested in trying out for the gymnastics team must register in 8-18 for Monday’s try-out. We will begin in the gymnastics balcony at 3:40 pm. Questions, contact Mrs. Campos or see Ms. Tarchinski in the math department. We are looking forward to another exciting year, come and join the fun!
Anyone interested in Softball’s off season weights and conditioning program, there will be an informational meeting after school on Wednesday, November 9th, in the Driver’s Ed. Room. Please bring your Chromebooks and a 1” binder.
COLLEGE AND CAREER
On Monday November 7th, a representative from Missouri State University, Marquette University & US Airforce will be here.
On Tuesday November 8th, a representative from The University of South Alabama, Illinois Wesleyan University & ball State University will be here.
On Wednesday November 9th, a representative from Olivet Nazarene University, Elmhurst College & Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising will be here.
Remember if you are interested in attending any of these presentations, you must sign up on the Naviance program.
