Amy Stoops

Amy Stoops is a Literacy Coach and Reading Specialist in the English and Communications Department at Downers Grove South High School. Prior to her start with District 99 in 2009, she served as an English teacher and Literacy Coach at District 200.

Stoops received a Master of Arts in Reading from National Louis University, a Master of Arts for ESL from Aurora University, and a Master of Arts from the University of St. Francis for Differentiated Instruction.

Teaching philosophy:

We need to stop looking at what kids can’t do and start looking at what they can.
