Grade 11 to take SAT on April 13
Dear District 99 Students and Families:
Due to the requirement to administer the SAT to students* on April 13, District 99 will be following this schedule for the week of April 12:
Monday, April 12 - Students will attend school and follow the Tuesday schedule
Tuesday, April 13 - 11th grade students (and 12th grade students who need to test) will report to school for the SAT. SAT testing on Tuesday, April 13 will begin at 8 a.m. and end at approximately 12:15 pm. Morning bus route times that day will remain unchanged. The afternoon bus routes will depart at approximately 12:15 pm. No classes (in-person/remote) will be held for students in grades 9, 10 and 12. Instead, it will be a “virtual learning day,” and students should use this day to complete any missing assignments and/or study.
Wednesday, April 14 - Friday, April 16 - All students will follow the regular Wednesday through Friday schedule
* All 11th grade students (and any 12th grade students who did not take the school day SAT on October 14) are required to take the SAT at school on Tuesday, April 13. The SAT is a graduation requirement in Illinois. The PSAT 8/9 that is typically administered to freshmen and the PSAT 10 that is typically administered to sophomores will not be given. We are waiting for information from the state regarding when 11th grade students will be expected to take the Illinois Science Assessment.
Additional information regarding the SAT testing will be shared with those students who are required to take the SAT closer to test day.
Please note that students with IEPs or 504 Plans may have alternate testing arrangements that will be communicated in the near future.
Thank you,
Gina Ziccardi
Associate Superintendent for Student Learning
