Choose In-Person or Fully Remote Learning by March 19
Dear District 99 Students and Families:
Last night, the Board of Education approved following an "Early Release Block Schedule," in which all students will be invited to attend school in-person four days a week.
Click here to view the schedule, which will begin on April 6, 2021
Wearing a mask correctly and keeping a physical distance of three feet (six feet while eating, per IDPH guidelines) will be required throughout the school day. Symptom checking slips, saliva screenings and face shields will all be optional, but encouraged, starting March 17. NOTE: Students should still check their symptoms each morning before going to school and stay home if they have any COVID-like symptoms.
The district is no longer required to follow community metrics as a basis for offering in-person learning.
We are asking all families to complete this form by this Friday, March 19:

NOTE: Fully Remote Learning will continue to be an option for any student. Unless a student is prohibited by a medical reason, however, we strongly encourage all students to return to in-person learning.
Students choosing in-person learning will be expected to attend all of their classes in person and will not have the ability to choose a learning model by class period. However, if students have transportation, they are allowed to arrive late/leave early when it is their lunch period. Space will be provided for students to study should they want/need to be at school during their lunch period or any other free period. Students may change their learning model after spring break by contacting their counselor.
The best place for the majority of our students to learn is in our safe environment at school. We are excited to welcome all students back to in-person learning together at the same time and look forward to having everyone back after spring break on April 6.
Thank you,
District 99
