Hello North High Parents:
I am writing to share two important opportunities to connect with North High: Curriculum Showcase and Ask Me Anything Webinar.
- Curriculum Showcase - Our teachers have been busy creating videos that introduce parents to each of their classes so that parents can understand what is expected of students and how best to help them at home. This takes the place of what was traditionally our Open House. All videos will be posted on Home Access Center (HAC) by 6 p.m. today. To access the class videos, log into HAC and click on a course title. You will then see a screen that includes attachments. Click on the YouTube link to view the video for that course.
In addition, the Counseling and Student Support Services Department has created parent presentations for each grade level as well as videos that introduce families to key support personnel, including each student's alpha team. Click here to access the information from the CSSS Department.
- Ask Me Anything Webinar - District 99 issued an email earlier that starting Monday, October 19, District 99 will begin following a Modified Hybrid Schedule. Please click here for detailed information about the revised first semester schedule and dates. Families are being asked to opt-out of in-person learning by Friday, September 25. (Access to the form is only available through each student’s school login.)
I know that many of you may have questions about the new schedule and our return to in-person learning. As I’ve done in the past, I will host a webinar to provide an overview of the new schedule and my insights, and to answer your questions. We will hold the webinar tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. While I will take questions during the meeting, it would be great if you could submit questions on this form prior to the meeting. This meeting will be recorded and shared with all parents.
