Dear District 99 Community:
During these challenging times, we wanted to continue to keep you informed about our progress to return to in-person learning.
Last night we shared a presentation with the Board of Education about our work to create a plan to return to in-person learning based on the new levels of community transmission risk established by the county and state health departments. As we shared, we must revise our previously published hybrid schedule into a more restrictive one that will work while we are under the “moderate” transmission level. You can watch the meeting here.
Next Monday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m. at South High, we will share our new proposed hybrid schedule to follow while in “moderate” transmission level with the Board of Education. We will also have dates of when the schedule may start and a plan for the remainder of the semester. Please note that all of our meetings are now livestreamed at www.youtube.com/csd99media.
As I previously shared, we will soon issue surveys to students, families and staff, and hope that you will share your thoughts so that we can improve the quality of our services no matter what schedule we are following.
Thank you,
Dr. Hank Thiele
Superintendent
