Continued Meal Availability
Order Spring Break Meals by Monday, March 23 at Noon!
Dear District 99 Community:
The Illinois State Board of Education has recently directed that school districts must provide meals to students who request assistance, even during the recent shelter-in-place mandate.
District 99 has already been providing meals to those students who qualify for assistance and will continue to do so. If you do not qualify, but are in need of brown bag breakfast and brown bag lunch meal, these meals are available to you also.
New Process for Next Week
Next week, on Monday, March 23, Tuesday, March 24, Wednesday, March 25, and March 26 from 10 a.m. to noon, student lunch meals will be available for pick-up from a white First Student van at the following locations:
- North High School, Forest Avenue Entrance, Downers Grove
- South High School (Door #2), 1436 Norfolk St., Downers Grove
- Henry Puffer Elementary School, 2220 Haddow Ave., Downers Grove
- Meadowview Elementary School, 2525 Mitchell Dr., Woodridge
- El Sierra Elementary School, 6835 Fairmount Ave., Downers Grove
- Eagle Creek Apartments, 61st & South Williams, Westmont
- Westmont Village Leasing Center, 6715 Lake Shore Dr., Westmont
- Dynasty Pointe Apartments , Apple Ln. & Woodward Ave., Woodridge
- Dynasty Pointe Apartments , Country Club Dr. & Woodward Ave., Woodridge
- Lakeview Jr High School, 701 Plainfield Rd., Downers Grove
- Edgewood Elementary School, 7900 Woodridge Dr., Woodridge
- Centerpointe Shopping Center (former JC Penney parking lot), 7200 Woodward Ave., Woodridge
NOTE: Unless you have received a separate notice about delivery, we will no longer be delivering meals.
Spring Break Student Meal Box
We will be offering boxes containing five school breakfast and lunch meals to assist any student in need the week of spring break.
Boxes will be available for pick up on Thursday, March 26 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations:
- Downers Grove North High School, 4436 Main Street, Downers Grove
- Forest Avenue entrance
- Downers Grove South High School, 1436 Norfolk Street, Downers Grove
- Main Entrance - Door #2
(If you are already picking up your daily meal on Thursday, March 26, we will provide you with your Spring Break Box then.)
To help us gauge demand, please place your order for a Spring Break Student Meal Box. Orders are due by noon on Monday, March 23.
