Summer School Registration
All current D99 students, incoming 9th grade students, and out-of-district students are eligible to enroll, but some classes do have age requirements or prerequisites. Preference is given to students who live in District 99. Summer school is considered high school course work. Grades are included in the student’s overall grade point average and appear on transcripts.
Students who do not attend Downers North or South must confirm with their schools first that the credit they would earn here would transfer. They also must contact the District 99 registrar to have a transcript sent to their schools after completing summer school.
SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
COST PER SEMESTER:
Course | In-District Learner | Out-of-District Learner |
---|---|---|
Consumer Education, English, Math, Science, Social Studies | $210 | $420 |
Driver’s Education | $250 | $670 |
AP Chem Prep | $125 | $175 |

For students who receive a fee waiver, you will be asked about this in the registration process to waive fees. Please note that the system will need to validate the fee waiver, so if you have a fee waiver and it tells you it is not valid, please contact Summer School Director Ryan Doherty at rdoherty@csd99.org or Vicky Miles at vmiles@csd99.org or (630)795-7122 for support. It is likely due to an incorrect ID number or errors inputting student name.
REFUNDS
Students may drop an academic course and receive course tuition refunds on or before May 26, 2024. In order to drop a course and be refunded prior to that date, contact Ryan Doherty at rdoherty@csd99.org or Vicky Miles at vmiles@csd99.org. ON THAT DATE, STAFFING DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.
