Seventy-one student musicians from District 99 earned placement, by competitive audition, into the 2024 Illinois Music Education Association District 1 Honor Band, Choir, Orchestra, Jazz Bands and Jazz Choir. Participating musicians submitted audition videos to the ILMEA, and a panel of professional musicians adjudicated all videos. The top-placing scores were selected for participation in the District Music Festivals, which will be held in November.
