Dear District 99 Community:
The District 99 Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting for Monday, July 27 at 6:30 p.m. to continue discussing options for the start of the school year. While the Board directed the district to continue to pursue the hybrid model for the start of the school year, while health conditions allow, no decision about the plan or schedule was made at the meeting on Monday night.
- The meeting on July 27 will be held at 6:30 p.m. virtually and livestreamed at www.youtube.com/csd99media.
- The agenda includes a Reception of Visitors for the public to comment at the end of the meeting, during which the Board will receive public comments for up to 30 minutes.
- Starting at 8 a.m. through the end of the meeting on July 27, you may submit comments to the Board here.
- In addition, the Administrative Service Center at 6301 Springside Avenue, Downers Grove, will be open to visitors to comment in person. NOTE: Due to social distancing restrictions, we may not be able to accommodate all visitors at one time.
The Board must vote to approve a plan for the 2020-21 school year. The Board will not take action (vote) on July 27, but may do so at its meeting on Monday, August 3 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting on August 3 will be held in the cafetorium at South High; this space can accommodate a maximum of 40 visitors at one time.
Thank you,
District 99
