Over 30 D99 students enrolled in Introduction to Teaching visited COD to learn more about the field of education and the process to become a certified teacher
North High and South High students enrolled in Introduction to Teaching classes took a field trip to the College of DuPage (COD) to learn more about the field of education. COD provides dual credit for students who are enrolled in the course.
During the trip, the students attended an Educational Technology Fair and visited with various representatives from colleges in Illinois to learn about their teacher preparation programs. Students also heard a panel discussion about student teaching, preparing for the edTPA teacher certification assessment, education career placement and job searching.
