DGN Students Studying Spanish Receive National Recognition

Congratulations to the students studying Spanish at Downers Grove North High School who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2024 National Spanish Examinations! DGN earned 1 Gold, 6 Silver and 9 Bronze medals along with 22 Honorable Mentions.  

Students from Downers Grove North High School have a long history of high achievement on these exams and were taught by Spanish teachers Joshua Bodenheimer, Ruth Dukala, Paula Fernández, and Jennifer Mariman.  

The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
