As part of North High School’s effort to promote kindness and service throughout the month of February, we’ve partnered with Feed6, an organization that aims to end hunger in our local communities. Our work with Feed6 will allow us to provide boxed “pantry packs” of nutritious food to those in need. A donation of $22.50 will purchase a pantry pack for an individual or family in need consisting of 42 servings of flavorful meals including apple-cinnamon oatmeal, deluxe macaroni and cheese, rice and beans, and tomato-basil pasta. This comes out to only $.53 a meal!
Here’s the best part...once pantry packs are purchased our student groups will personalize each box with beautiful decorations and personalized messages. The pantry pack will truly become a beautiful gift to someone in need. Donations are being accepted through the end of February.
Here’s how you can help:
- We are looking for individuals, families, clubs, or athletic teams to purchase pantry packs (consisting of 42 servings of food). Pantry packs will be distributed to local food pantries to help community members in need. Donations are being accepted in any amount or in increments of $22.50, the cost of one pantry pack.
- We are looking for students, clubs, and athletic teams to help decorate and customize each pantry pack purchased. Boxes will contain personalized messages and designs to ensure those in need are receiving a dignified gift. Groups interested in this should reach out to Mr. Mirandola at mmirandola@csd99.org.
