North High students took part in the annual “TECH 2018 Students for the Information Age” demonstration on May 10, 2018 at the State Capitol Building in Springfield. The students joined other teams of students and teachers from 98 schools throughout Illinois to demonstrate to the public and lawmakers how DGN uses technology in our classrooms to prepare for an information-based society.
During the event, students in our multi-needs special education classrooms led by North High Teacher Diane McClellan demonstrated how they use virtual reality as a learning tool.
The TECH 2018 event is a statewide initiative, supported by a broad range of education and business organizations, to demonstrate to policymakers, business leaders and citizens how technology is being used to create exciting classroom learning environments.
