Showing Support for Breast Cancer Awareness

Showing Support for Breast Cancer Awareness

DGN will be donning pink shirts this Friday at the home football game to show support for breast cancer awareness. During the week, students and staff have been purchasing this shirt to show how the school "Fights like a Trojan." Shirts will also be sold during the sophomore and varsity football game this Friday night as well. For $10, part of the proceeds will be donated to Advocate Cancer Care Center at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Your Gift to the Cancer Care Center at Good Samaritan will…

  • Establish comfortable, well-designed infusion rooms for chemotherapy to provide our patients with the highest quality care
  • Create convenient and coordinated treatment and patient care through newly constructed, multi-disciplinary offices
  • Provide additional support systems for patients and their families by creating space for coordination of research trials, private financial counseling, and cancer survivorship programs

Also at the game, DGN will host Pink Heals and “Leslie” their pink fire truck that is used to support and bring awareness to all women in their fight against cancer. The fire truck will be arriving at the game by 5 pm and will be parked by the west side gates to the game for fans to visit. This fire truck is a symbol used to support all women battling cancer.
