Scott Wuggazer
Assistant Superintendent for Student Services
Scott Wuggazer serves as the district’s assistant superintendent for student services. In this role, he oversees special education services for students with disabilities, as well as social and emotional learning initiatives at both North High and South High. Previously, Wuggazer served as director of student services at District 230 in Orland Park, Illinois, where he supervised special services, guidance and counseling, deans, social workers and psychologists for three high schools.
From 2007 to 2012, Wuggazer was department chair of special services at North High and from 2004 to 2007, he worked as a special education teacher at South High. He holds a B.A. from Iowa State University, a master’s in teaching special education from National-Louis University, and a master’s degree in school leadership from Concordia University. He is also an alumnus of South High School, class of 1987.
Wuggazer lives in La Grange Park with his wife Trudi and twin boys.
“Having worked at both North High and South High, and being a graduate of South High, I have a unique perspective to offer the students, staff and community,” says Wuggazer. “There are so many exciting and innovative initiatives going on at District 99, and I look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of the programs.”
