Attention Psychology Club: Do you want to be hypnotized??? Come to room 200-202 to see Mr. North's presentation - Wednesday, November 15th from 3:40-4:30. To be eligible to be hypnotized, please bring the signed permission slip. Ms. Roberts has extra copies in room 205. Also, the club's yearbook photo will be taken right before the presentation. Please meet in the Auditorium Lobby at 3:25 - - wear your Psychology Club t-shirt if you have one.
The next meeting of the Outdoor Environmental Club will be Tuesday, November 14th, after school in room 321. We will be planning our next indoor climbing trip. All are welcome, bring a friend.
Holy Guacamole! Spanish Club’s Guac Wars will take place tomorrow from 3:30-4:30pm in room 376. Sign up to participate in Guac Wars by emailing Mrs. Fernandez by the end of the day today! You do not need to be a member of Spanish Club to join in on the fun! Voting will take place and prizes will be given for our top 3 Guac Stars!
All Freshman and Sophomore's interested in playing baseball and not in a winter sport... please meet Wednesday, Nov 15th @ 7:30 am for a quick off season meeting in the underground track. Please See Coach Briscoe if you have questions.
There will be a Circle of Friends meeting in Room 171 on Tuesday, November 14 at 3:30 to plan events and create friendships that last a lifetime! Join us to plan upcoming fun events for November and December. Recently, students have gone to an Oktoberfest, Homecoming Olympics, and Homecoming to name a few. Bring your ideas and let’s have some fun? Questions? See Mrs. McClellan in Room 171. Any current members need to attend. Hope to see you there!
Attention sophomores, juniors and seniors interested in exploring careers: Attainable Futures is a program offered by District 99 and Chamber630. The program provides career exploration opportunities and enhances the skills necessary for students to enter the workforce. All sessions are taught by employers that work in our community. Come to the College and Career Center for more information and an application. The applications are due on Thursday, November 30th.
Looking for a way to help others in need? Team up with Direct Action and the Giving Tree project this year. We have partnered with the Humanitarian Service Project to adopt 150 children and 25 senior citizens in need from the DuPage County area and provide them with gifts for the upcoming holiday season. To adopt a family of 1-2 children, go to the College and Career Center. To adopt a family of 3 or more children, go to room 162. Stay tuned for when we have the names of the 25 senior citizens ready to adopt as they will be available in the Attendance Office. Thank you!
Do you know what STRIVE is? The STRIVE program is a free after-school tutoring program for Students who are struggling with coursework, organization, and test preparation. Come by to get help, or do your homework in a supportive environment. You can drop by on any day, for any length of time. STRIVE meets every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 PM in room 349.
Attention seniors: Need help with your college applications, college essays, financial aid forms, and more? Come to the College and Career Center during your lunch period Monday, November 6 through Wednesday, November 8th Counselors will be available to help you.
