This evening, August 31st, 2017, all parents are invited to attend the 2017-2018 All School Open House. Students, we encourage you to help your parents by making sure that they have a copy of your class schedule.
Attention Seniors: Are you interested in serving as the North High Student Representative on our School Board? If so, be sure to check your e-mail for a message from Mrs. Schwarze that explains this opportunity and the application process. All applications are due by September 5.
Is homework stressing you out? Do you need a break from the school day? Do you want to relax and re-energize with some friends? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions then you should check out Wellness Wednesday's in the Library on September 6thduring all lunch periods. Students are able to attend during their study hall or resource time 4th through 6th period. We will have games and activities to enjoy or you could just stop by to relax. All students and staff are welcome.
Are you competitive? Interested in Business? Want to develop your leadership skills? Then come join DECA. Our next meeting is this Wednesday September 6th before school at 7:00am in room 349. For any questions see Mr. Baca or Ms. Polen in room 211.
Salsa, Bolero, Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue - Do you know how to do these dances? Would you like to know how to do these dances? Do you like Latin music? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, come to an information meeting about the DANZA NORTE club on Wednesday, September 6 at 3:30 in Room 376.
Interested in promoting a balanced understanding of all people? In helping people in our community by volunteering or organizing drives? In sponsoring speakers or screenings? Come to IWiLL's first meeting this Wednesday, September 6, at 7:30 in room 271. Be ready to learn more about IWiLL, to help plan where IWiLL goes this year, and to enjoy delicious snacks. Operation Snowball: Online applications for Fall Snowball Leader are now open. Junior and senior students who have attended a Snowball retreat and are interested in leading a small group at Fall Snowball are eligible to apply. Applicants who missed the informational meeting last May, please contact Mr. Bullock before completing the application. Find the application link in the student announcements on the North home page.

Attention All NHS Members!! Seniors, our first meeting is Tuesday September 5th (the day after Labor Day). The meeting before school will be held in room 349 beginning at 7:20. Or you can come after school to the faculty cafeteria at 3:30. You must attend this meeting on Tuesday or contact Ms. Burritt or Mrs. Graham.
Homecoming is right around the corner so that means it time again for homecoming Olympics. The Olympics will be held on September 18th from 6:30-9. If you still have not registered be sure to check your student email for the registration form. Remember only the team captain needs to submit the form and all money must be turned in to the student activities office no later than September 8th. Any questions see Mr. Glazier.
Do you like to bake and decorate cupcakes? Or maybe even put together a fashion apparel display like you see in a storefront? Have you dreamed of becoming an interior designer, or working with children? Then come to the first kickoff FCCLA meeting after school onWednesday, September 6th in the foods room 217 at 3:30. Treats will be provided! Also- if you are interested in helping run the blood drive, make sure you also come to the meeting! Any questions- see Ms. Kordecki or Mrs. Tajak in 211.
Attention All freshman, sophomores, & juniors: Yearbook photos & proofs that were taken August 8th packet pick up are available for you to pick up in the student activities office room 101. Retake, photo makeup day is October 12th.
If you are interested in working on the Friday Video Announcements, there will be a meeting after school in room 174 on Thursday. Freshmen through Seniors are welcome to attend.
Attention Seniors! This is YOUR year! Join Senior Class Board for a meeting on Thursday, August 31 at 7:30am in room 200. We will be discussing Homecoming plans and other important items. If you can't make it, please email Mrs. Moore or Mrs. O'Dell. Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Attention DGN: These are the morning announcements and I’m here to say - We’re kicking off the school year in a major way!!! Trojan Tailgate is coming!!! Come to the sophomore football game on September 1st to celebrate the start of the school year! BOOM Entertainment will be rocking! Food trucks will be serving ice cream, tacos, barbecue, and more! Inflatables will be there to bounce on! Class shirts will be available!!! Hang out with your friends and have a good time before the Varsity game. That’s the Trojan Tailgate during the sophomore football game on Friday, Sept. 1st! We Are DGN!
