Attention Seniors: Are you interested in serving as the North High Student Representative on our School Board? If so, be sure to check your e-mail for a message from Mrs. Schwarze that explains this opportunity and the application process. All applications are due by September 5.
STUDENT PARKING All available parking has been assigned for the school year. If you did not receive an email from the Deans’ office, you have been put on a waiting list. We will contact you as spots become available. YOU MUST HAVE A HANG TAG TO PARK IN THE MAIN STREET LOT. Violators will be ticketed.
The Outdoor Environmental Club will be holding its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, August 30th in room 321 after school. We will be planning and scheduling this fall's outings. Everyone is welcome, bring a friend!"

If you're ready to join a fun club that's all about school spirit, come to the first Freshman Class Board meeting next Tuesday, August 29th at 7:30 AM in the Library Classroom. Are you interested in learning more about Prism, the DGN gay-straight alliance? Come to room 220 at 7:20 on Friday to discuss recent news events, discuss future club activities, and plan our next pancake breakfast! Hope to see you there.
Government Club There is no better time to get involved in our government than now! The Government Club invites you to join us and take advantage of opportunities to be an active citizen and make a difference within our democracy. This is not a political debate club. It is simply a platform to share out-of-school civic experiences such as working on a political campaign, serving as an election judge or on a peer jury, going on public policy field trips to Chicago and of course the annual Close Up trip to Washington D.C.
Please come to an informational meeting before school at 7:25 AM on Wednesday August 30th in Room 202. If you are unable to attend, please see Government Club Sponsor Mr. Lichtenberg or your social studies teacher. Hope to see you there!

Attention all wrestlers not out for a spring sport. We will start pre-season training on Monday. Please meet Coach McGrath and Coach Baca in the JV wrestling balcony.
Attention Juniors and Seniors who are interested in joining Psychology Club: Psychology Club is hosting its first informational meeting Wednesday, August 30th in room 349 from 3:30-4:00. If you cannot attend, please see Ms. Roberts in room 205. You do not have to take Psychology or AP Psychology to join the Club.
Attention Boys Basketball: There will be a brief meeting in the underground track on Thursday, August 24 at 3:30. The meeting will cover all pre-season schedules including strength and conditioning, fall league and open gyms.
Hey Sophomores! Are you looking to get involved at DGN and meet some new friends outside of your classes? If yes, come join us this Thursday, Aug. 24th at 7:30 am in room 353 to learn about CLASS BOARD. All Sophomores are welcome to attend.
Junior Class Board: We will be having our first meeting of the year this Thursday morning, August 24th, at 7:30 in room 316. We will be sharing information and signing up for Homecoming events and football concessions. See Ms. Passarelli or Mrs. Beer with any questions.
Time to take that brand new DGN Theatre t-shirt off the shelf! Mrs. V and I hope you will wear your "All the World's my Stage" shirt next Tuesday for the Activity Fair and to promote our first Drama Club meeting of the year.
During all 3 lunch periods we will need a handful of upper classmen to hand out our 2017-2018 calendars and to talk to new folks about al we do with theatre here at North. PLEASE let us know if you can do one lunch period (or even a half).
THEN, after school we will meet in room 248 to choose Drama Board officers, talk about another jacket order, auditions for the fall play, ushers for Burning Boy, and other topics. Please invite your friends - all really are welcome.
Oh, and of course we'll have SNACKS!

Attention DGN: These are the morning announcements and I’m here to say - We’re kicking off the school year in a major way!!! Trojan Tailgate is coming!!! Come to the sophomore football game on September 1st to celebrate the start of the school year! BOOM Entertainment will be rocking! Food trucks will be serving ice cream, tacos, barbecue, and more! Inflatables will be there to bounce on! Class shirts will be available!!! Hang out with your friends and have a good time before the Varsity game. That’s the Trojan Tailgate during the sophomore football game on Friday, Sept. 1st! We Are DGN!
