A variety of academic resources are available for selcted students at Downers Grove South HIgh School. On this page, you will find a brief description of each resource.

Description:
Students are matched with a volunteer staff member at DGS. Mentors assist with connecting students to school activities and resources.
Additional information:
Meeting times and location depend on the student and mentor's availability.

Guided Study is a supportive study hall that is available for students during periods 1- 8 of the school day. This is a Tier 2 intervention; students are considered for this program through a referral process during the school year.

Sign up for Peer Tutoring in the Literacy Center! Tutors are available during lunch periods, 4, 5, 6, Monday - Friday, in room A322,
and after school on Tues., Wed., & Thurs. from 3:30 - 4:15, in room A322.

Description:
Teachers and peer tutors sit down with your student and work on organization as well as homework completion/understanding of content. They also work collaboratively to check grades, set goals, and monitor their progress moving forward. Lastly, if your child simply needs "time" and a quiet space to work, we can provide that as well.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 3:30-4:30
